The aim of the sectoral councils system is to involve employers as broadly as possible in identifying and forecasting competency needs in the labor market and influencing providers of educational and development services to create a high-quality educational and developmental offer tailored to labor market needs.

Sectoral councils monitor the demand for competencies at the sectoral (industry) level, considering its specificity and anticipated changes in its functioning. Monitoring is based primarily on the expert knowledge of council members and their own and external research.

The purpose of the sectoral councils system is to reduce the competency mismatch in the labor market by providing information on competency gaps in sectors, accompanied by several other activities, such as:

  1. Gathering knowledge from businesses about the qualifications and competencies sought in a given sector of the economy;
  2. Preparing recommendations to align the workforce with current business needs in the sector;
  3. Identifying organizational solutions/legislative changes in education/labor markets to better meet the sought-after qualifications and competencies in the sector;
  4. Initiating cooperation between businesses and universities, as well as institutions mentioned in Article 2 of the Act of December 14, 2016 – Education Law;
  5. Collaborating on educational agreements aimed at integrating education and employers;
  6. Identifying the need to create a Sectoral Qualifications Framework and qualifications;
  7. Disseminating information on identified needs.

Joining the Sectoral Competence Council for Renewable Energy provides an opportunity to influence the future of the sector and access market analyses and research that help forecast trends. We warmly invite you to contact:
